Facebook Meta Business Suite Hashtag Update


Facebook’s Metasuite has recently rolled out a new function that will save socially active business owners time. While we always recommend batching your social posts so your accounts stay active, sometimes you forget to do your hashtag research. Let’s be honest, the average business owner really doesn’t have time for hashtag research. This new facebook feature is really going to feel like a Christmas morning update for you! Not only will facebook show you a number of trending hashtags, but you can also save hashtag lists in Meta Business Suite.

Let’s be honest, the average business owner really doesn’t have time for hashtag research. This new facebook feature is really going to feel like a Christmas morning update for you! Not only will facebook show you a number of trending hashtags, but you can also save hashtag lists in Meta Business Suite.      Accessing the hashtag list Open the Meta Business Suite from your Facebook page Click to create a new post Attach a photo Type your caption Click on the hashtag shown on the bottom right side of the text box  When you click to open the hashtag list you will be shown a list of trending Instagram hashtags!   Using Hashtags Correctly  There are a few things to know about all of these trending hashtags that you will be shown. Using them all will not benefit your business or expand your audience. Be sure to only use those that apply to your business model / relevant customer base. When you use a number of irrelevant hashtags you will corrupt the algorithm and will be shown a number of accounts and posts that don’t relate to your business. Hashtags are supposed to be a networking tool to help you expand with a relevant community, so use them wisely.  Hashtag Tips  Out with the old and in with the new, Instagram is constantly changing their algorithm. A few things will always remain important: single word hashtags are among the highest rated and the most irrelevant hashtags. Your business cannot compete in a sea of a billion hashtags, so stay away from things like ‘love’ ‘laugh’ or other commonly used single word hashtags. You should however take advantage of short phrases or location based hashtags that are relevant to your business. Don’t forget to start using your business name as a hashtag on your social media so your customers do the same!   1. Open the Meta Business Suite from your Facebook page

  2. Click to create a new post

  3. Attach a photo

  4. Type your caption

  5. Click on the hashtag shown on the bottom right side of the text box


When you click to open the hashtag list you will be shown a list of trending Instagram hashtags!
